Futsal TA Triumphs at United Futsal Appalachian and Atlantic Tournaments

 It's with immense pride and excitement that we bring you a comprehensive recap of our recent ventures into the heart of competitive futsal – the United Futsal tournaments in Knoxville, TN, and Greensboro, NC. The resounding success of our Academy teams has etched another chapter in our club's history, marked by skill, resilience, and a remarkable haul of 14 trophies.. This achievement positions us as one of the few clubs in the United States to attain such impressive results.



United Futsal Appalachian Conference - Knoxville, TN: A Sweeping Success!

Our journey kicked off in Knoxville, TN, where the courts bore witness to the exceptional hard-work of our players. The results were nothing short of extraordinary:


🏆 Champions: 2011, 2013, & 2014 Boys

🥈 Finalists: 2015, 2012, 2010, & 2006-08 Boys

🥈 Finalists: 2011 Girls


The Knoxville Champions Cup Series (CCS) saw our teams deliver stellar performances, securing a total of eight trophies. The 2011 Boys, 2013 Boys, and 2014 Boys emerged as champions, showcasing not just their technical talent but also their tenacity in high-stakes situations. The 2011 Girls and 2015, 2012, 2010, and the 2006 Boys claimed well-deserved finalist positions, each victory a testament to the depth of talent within our club. It's important to mention that we, among all conference clubs from the United Futsal, were able to place ALL our registered teams in the finals in the top/gold divisions.


Champions Cup Series (CCS): An Exclusive Journey to Excellence


FTA is proud to be an exclusive participant in the Champions Cup Series (CCS), organized by United Futsal. This prestigious series unites 32 clubs from across the United States, competing for the opportunity to represent the US at the World Futsal Cup in Barcelona, Spain.


Our journey includes participation in the Appalachian Conference in Knoxville, TN, making us the only club in the Charlotte region to be part of this exclusive series. The CCS comprises the Winter Conference Championships, the Summer National Championships, and the World Futsal Championships.


Teams finishing 1st or 2nd in the Conference Championships qualify for the Division I National Championships, leading to the chance to represent the US in the World Futsal Cup.


United Futsal Atlantic Tournaments - Greensboro, NC: Adding to the Legacy

Buoyed by the success in Knoxville, our journey continued to Greensboro, NC, where our players continued to shine:


🏆 Champions: 2006-08 Boys & 2009 Girls

🥈 Finalists: 2010 & 2014 Boys

🥉 Third-Place: 2012 Boys & 2013 Girls


The Greensboro leg solidified our standing as a force to be reckoned with in futsal. The 2006-08 Boys and 2009 Girls claimed the championship titles, showcasing not only their technical finesse but also their strategic brilliance on the court. The 2010 and 2014 Boys secured finalist positions, while the 2012 Boys, 2011 Girls, also playing in the CCS, earned well-deserved third-place finishes. A total of six additional trophies were added to our collection.

A Historic 14 Trophies

Our Academy teams, through their exceptional performances in both tournaments, have brought home a historic 14 trophies. This achievement cements Futsal TA's status as one of the only clubs in the United States to achieve such an impressive result. The dedication and skill demonstrated by our players, coupled with the unwavering support of our FTA families, have created a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
