We're three weeks into our all-inclusive futsal summer program in Charlotte, and we wanted to take a moment to bring every FTA family up to speed on how it's going - because honestly, it's going better than we hoped.
This is our first full summer at our new home in north Charlotte, Prosperity Athletic Club (9300 Browne Rd), and seeing the place come alive every day with players moving between the futsal court and the soccer field has been everything we pictured when we took it on.
Mornings start with the sound of balls on the court and turf before the heat sets in; evenings bring a second wave of players back for game play. The energy has been exactly the kind of environment we set out to build.

What our futsal summer program in Charlotte looks like
If you haven't been by yet, here's the simplest way to picture it: our players can train Monday through Friday, both morning and evening. That's the heart of the all-inclusive model. Instead of a single session a few times a week, families get an open, full-week training environment their player can step into as often as they want.
Mornings are built around technical training and skill development - the touches, the footwork, the repetition that quietly builds a better player over a summer. Evenings shift toward situational training and live game play, where players take what they've drilled and use it under pressure against real opponents. Same coaches, same Brazilian futsal methodology, across both the futsal court and the soccer field (turf) all week long.
The value we're trying to give families here is straightforward: more touches, more decisions, and more real game play than a typical summer camp - in one place, with coaches who know your player. For a family juggling a busy summer, having a home base where your child can show up, train hard, and genuinely improve, morning or evening, takes a lot of the guesswork out of the season.
New this weekend: the FTA Futsal Summer League
The big news from this past weekend is that we kicked off our Futsal Summer League and it did not disappoint. Watching our players put the week's training to work in real, competitive futsal matches was the perfect way to cap things off. The pace, the creativity, the moments of individual brilliance, this is exactly why we love the small-sided game. Futsal forces players to think and act faster, and you could see that show up on the court.
The league gives our summer a rhythm: train through the week, then compete on the weekend. It's the loop that develops players fastest, and it's a lot of fun for everyone watching from the sideline too.
An update on the club
Stepping back from the summer for a second - this has been a season of real growth for FTA. Settling into our new north Charlotte home is a milestone we're proud of, and we want to be honest with you: we're still very much in development. There's more we're building, more we want to add, and we're improving the space as we go.
But even mid-build, having this place available, a home where players can simply come and play the game, means a great deal to us. That was always the goal: a dedicated environment in north Charlotte where our players have room to grow, on the court and on the field, with coaching that takes their development seriously. We're grateful to every family that's been part of these first weeks and patient with us as we keep making it better.
Come join us - weeks are still open
We're only three weeks in, which means there's plenty of summer left and remaining weeks are open now. Our training will remain on until August 16th.
If your player hasn't joined yet, or you want to add more weeks, this is the time. Train mornings and evenings, compete in the weekend league, and make the most of the season at our new home.
