We’re excited to share some great news: our FC Bayern Futsal Academy is expanding to North Raleigh!

Over the past few months, we’ve heard from many families in the Wake Forest area asking for futsal training options closer to home. Until now, our only Triangle-area location has been in Cary. But thanks to the strong community interest and support, we’re officially launching a new location at Endeavor Charter School in Wake Forest.

Starting Friday, June 13th, we’ll begin holding weekly training sessions at this new North Raleigh site—giving more players the chance to experience elite-level futsal development. We’re kicking things off with a Free Intro Session that day so families can come check it out with no commitment.

Join Us for the Free Intro Session – June 13th

Our official launch begins with a Free Intro Session on Friday, June 13th. This event is open to all interested families and is a great opportunity to experience what the program is all about—no cost and no obligation to register.

During the session, players will take part in a sample training session, and families will have a chance to:

  • Tour the facility

  • Meet our coaching staff

  • Learn more about our year-round Academy program

This is also an opportunity for our staff to evaluate players and assign them to the appropriate training group based on their age and skill level. Our goal is to ensure that each player trains in a group that fits their current development while continuing to push them to grow.

About Our Academy Program

The FC Bayern Futsal Academy is North Carolina’s largest futsal development program, offering year-round training to boys and girls ages 7–17 across multiple cities and regions.

Designed as a supplemental training option, the Academy fits around your child’s club or school soccer schedule. There’s no long-term commitment required—families register on a flexible, month-to-month basis, making it easy to start or pause based on your availability.

Players also have the chance to represent the Academy in local futsal leagues, friendly matches, and even national tournaments throughout the year. For many families, it’s an ideal way to keep players sharp and active during the soccer off-season while providing a new layer of technical development.

Why Futsal?

Futsal is a fast-paced, small-sided version of soccer played on a hard court with a smaller, heavier ball. The speed of the game and the limited space demand:

  • Faster decision-making

  • Better footwork and control

  • Constant involvement from all players

  • More touches, passes, and opportunities to finish

It’s no coincidence that some of the world’s best players—Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho, and many others—grew up playing futsal. The sport builds instinct, technique, and composure under pressure like no other environment.

Even here in North Carolina, respected soccer voices have started advocating for futsal as a crucial part of youth development. Coach Anson Dorrance, head coach of UNC Women’s Soccer and one of the winningest coaches in the history of the game, has publicly praised the value of futsal and the need for more players in the U.S. to be exposed to it. His belief in quick decisions, technical excellence, and improvisation under pressure aligns perfectly with what futsal provides.

Our mission is to continue making this environment more accessible to players across the state—and the launch of our North Raleigh location is one more step in that direction.

If you’re based in Wake Forest, North Raleigh, or surrounding areas, we invite you to join us on June 13th and see firsthand what makes futsal such an important tool in the modern player’s development journey.

Spots for our training groups will be limited, so early attendance at the intro session will give families priority access.

We look forward to welcoming you to the court!
